Christmas Day Deliveries




No deliveries on Christmas day? In San Jose, Nancy Ray has been delivering Express Mail packages on Christmas for the past three years. She dresses the part on Dec. 25 and often feels a lot like Santa when people answer the door.

"Dear Santa" letters answered!



Ready for Christmas! The United States Postal Service has responded to your “Dear Santa” letters, and have helped those in need.  Some of the letters:
  The right address: An oversized poster with Santa Claus' address is on display at the entrance of the main post office in Chicago. IMAGE
-One letter this year asked only for covers for his bed, "So I can stay warm this winter."
-Another letter from a 12-year-old wanted nothing for himself, just something for his single mother because she worked so hard.

Busiest Day of the Year



After a press release, the United States Postal Service says that today will be the busiest day of the year, and they are ready. Postal officials predict more than 658 million cards, letters and packages will be mailed today, compared to 528 million pieces on an average day.

Post Office: Holiday Spirit



Holiday spirit being delivered from the Post Office! After intercepting a letter to Santa, post office employees are lending a hand. Post office employees return the letter for local help if there is a need for assistance. The letter read, “I am eight years old and my mom has no money." Employees in the Conway postal office where the letter originated will be delivering the toys, food and clothing to the family on Dec. 18.
